Vourtaréa is on the SH8 coast road in Potam — the quiet northern edge of Himarë, on the Albanian Riviera. The Ionian is fifty metres in front; the Ceraunian mountains rise directly behind.

Free private parking is on site, so driving the Riviera is the easiest way to arrive. Coach and minibus services from Tirana, Vlorë and Sarandë stop in Himarë town.
